Open Forums

Our Open Forums are held in the Council Chamber, Long Eaton Town Hall. We love this venue but please don't think these meetings are like normal council meetings .. they're far less formal and you'll find a warm welcoming atmosphere. If you enjoy coming along, you can enrol at the meeting! Light refreshments are provided.

The doors open at 9.00 am for a 10.15 am start and each meeting finishes at 12.00 am. Speakers are invited to talk about local issues of concern to us older people. There is always time for questions from the floor. There is also an update on all our various activities and a raffle to raise money for forum funds.

Monday mornings from 9.00 - 12.00 in Long Eaton Library.

Roy calls these "The Absolute Beginners Courses"!

There is always a welcome refreshment break half way through the morning.

In the afternoon, help is available for users of ipads, tablets and smartphones from 1.00 to 3.00 pm in the Adult Education Centre on Derby Road .

These Monday sessions recommence after the Easter Break on Monday March 11th
